We help departing employees negotiate severance packages, advise employees whether they have a non-compete agreement that hinders their future employment opportunities, and represent employees who have claims against their current or former employers for breach of an employment agreement, discrimination, harassment, unlawful retaliation, or unpaid wages and commissions. Executives starting new employment retain us to negotiate and draft their employment agreements.


We help small and mid-size businesses avoid and solve employee disputes by making sure their personnel decisions comply with the employment laws. We also help businesses prevent their former employees from damaging customer relationships and from taking confidential information by drafting and enforcing non-compete agreements. We advise employers regarding the hiring, discipline and discharge of their employees and defend employers against discrimination, harassment, unlawful retaliation, and wrongful termination claims.


We advocate for sales representatives, both inside and outside the courtroom, as well as before the Minnesota legislature. We make sure that our sales representative clients are afforded all the protections of the Minnesota Termination of Sales Representative Act and we get involved in efforts to expand the protections of that law even further. We help sales representatives negotiate new sales representative agreements and we represent sales representatives in claims for unlawful termination by their principals.
